Heidi Tresler #3 |
Welcome to Heidi's web site:
At 17 years old Heidi shows promise with her natural driving skills. This season Heidi has concentrated on running the Sprints at Victorville Auto Raceway. They run 410 against 360 engines. Out gunned Heidi has only finished out of the top ten once and finished in the top five three time. This is excellent considering she is out gunned with her competitors out spending her and running the bigger and more expensive 4100 engines which put out more than 100 horsepower than Heidi's 360. Last year she ran in the VRA 360 Sprint Cars. These 358 cubic inch 700 hp+ behemoths roar to life and thunder down the straight-aways at the drop pf the green flag. With such major sponsors as NAPA, Heidi still needs your support in this high end racing division. Racing has always been Heidi's dream and in 2002 she started racing Speedway Sprint Intermediate class cars at the Wheel2Wheel Raceway located in the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville. Heidi took the championship in her first year of racing winning 10 races. Receiving the Rookie of The Year Award, Heidi stepped up into the Speedway Sprint Pro series. These powerful cars are 500 cc Jawa powered mini-sprint cars. The same motor used in Speedway bikes. With a solid suspension chassis and 65 horsepower motor these cars are a handful to drive even for the most experienced drivers. For the last two seasons Heidi ran the Modified Micro-Sprints weighing in at 750 pounds with motors putting out over 100 horsepower. These machines can be found racing in almost every state. Truly a competitive class of racing where hardware and talent must blend to reach the top. This year Heidi struggled with a series hardware problems and two crashes. With her new rebuilt F3 Honda, Heidi fought her way to the lead but also found herself in harms way. Her first crash came just four races from the end of the season in a devastating impact against the wall after just barely clipping two cars that crashed right in front of her. Heidi bent the front axle, rims, both wings, and frame. But in typical Tresler fashion, friends and family gathered and the car was rebuilt and back on the track in two weeks without missing a race. She narrowly missed rookie of the year after being struck in the closing laps of the final race of the season by a slower lapped car. With a severely bent rear axle, Heidi struggle to finish but pulled off the track after two more laps knowing her car was mortally wounded. Heidi needs your help to continue to be a top five competitor as the 2007 season draws to a close. Heidi's extraordinary driving skills wile being under funded and out gunned in the horsepower department has lead to a great season again veteran sprint car drivers. Heidi has garnered national attention in her campaign to win at Victorville this year. Heidi good easily be the first woman to break into NASCAR's elite circle of drivers. With her natural driving ability and sweet well founded personality Heidi is posed to break into professional racing soon. With your support and the dollars to compete against the professional teams with multiple cars and engines Heidi can make Victorville proud by succeeding where others have failed in moving into the ranks of professional racing.
